Angela Esseily

Associate Attorney

Angela Esseily is an associate attorney with Thurswell Law, joining the team in September 2017. She is not new to the Thurswell family, however. Ms. Esseily worked as a paralegal for the firm before law school, focusing on automobile negligence claims. “I love being able to help people that have been involved in a traumatic incident in their life and ease their stress and responsibility,” says Ms. Esseily. “We usually work with clients who have been through a difficult experience, and being there for them is a great feeling.”

As part of her current responsibilities, Ms. Esseily responds to motions, writes case evaluation summaries, and attends court hearings and depositions. Documentation of every detail is vital to all legal cases, particularly in the areas of malpractice and personal injury. Ms. Esseily is particularly well-versed in Michigan’s no-fault laws. She has been developing the foundation of her legal career for some time, holding notable positions as a law clerk for a private firm and interning in the child abuse unit for the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office.

Ms. Esseily graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she was a recipient of the Ramser-Morgan Foundation Scholarship and a Presidential Scholarship. She served as a Moot Court Board of Advocates Junior Member and was the executive vice president of the Student Bar Association in law school. She served as a student attorney with the law school’s immigration clinic and was a member of the Women’s Law Caucus. Ms. Esseily also has a bachelor’s degree in paralegal studies from Madonna University in Livonia, Michigan.

A resident of Dearborn Heights, Ms. Esseily can often be found working out or playing softball, but in quiet moments she loves to read and enjoys creative writing.

Ms. Esseily is fluent in Arabic and speaks basic Spanish.
