Sarah W. Thurswell, a fourth-generation attorney, exclusively specializes in medical negligence, focusing her practice mainly on birth injury litigation.

Ms. Thurswell earned her bachelor's degree, with honors, in history and French in 1991 from Albion College. She earned her law degree in 1994 from the University of Detroit School of Law, where she was a contributing author to the International Law Journal. Prior to joining The Thurswell Law Firm, she was a guest Professor of Law at the University of Clermont-Ferrand, France, where she taught various courses in American law. She served internships with Justice Marilyn Kelly of the Michigan Supreme Court, and with the Child and Family Abuse Unit at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

Ms. Thurswell is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth District.

She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan Negligence Section, Michigan Association of Justice, American Association for Justice and the American Bar Association.
