Ms. Trikes graduated with her Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from the Detroit College of Law in 1995. During law school, Ms. Trikes received both brief writing and oral argument awards and served as president of the Environmental Law Society.  She received her undergraduate degree from Michigan State University in International Studies, in which she spent a year studying abroad at the University of Zimbabwe. She is admitted to the State Bar of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

She previously served on the board of directors of the Kiwanis Club of Warren/Morning Chapter, and has devoted significant time to pro bono services.
